Privacy Policy

Last modified: October 28, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information Vanilla Tyme ("we", "us") collects through the Vanilla Tyme website (the "Website"), how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

From your Minecraft account

Website accounts are created with /register on our Minecraft server. When you register, and when you join the server afterwards, the Website receives your Minecraft username, your Minecraft UUID, your server rank and, if you have linked it, your Discord user ID.

Information you give us

Your email address and password when you finish setting up your account (passwords are stored only in hashed form), and anything you add to your profile.

Content you publish

Shops, descriptions, images, coordinates, inventory listings and other content you publish on the Website. This content is public.

Vote totals

Your vote totals and voting streaks, which are shown on the public vote leaderboard.

Technical information

When you sign in, we store your IP address, your browser and device type, and the approximate location (city and country) worked out from your IP address, so you can see and manage your active sessions. Our servers also keep standard request logs for security and troubleshooting.

Store purchases

Purchases are processed by Tebex. We receive details of each purchase, such as the Minecraft username, the package bought, the price and the date, so we can deliver perks. We never receive your payment card or bank details. Tebex's own privacy policy covers the information you give them.

How we use your information

  • to run your account, sign you in and keep it secure;
  • to show your profile, shops, rank and vote totals on the Website;
  • to deliver store perks;
  • to moderate the Website and enforce the Content Rules;
  • to prevent abuse and fraud;
  • to send account emails, such as email verification and password resets;
  • to understand how the Website is used and improve it.

Where data protection laws such as the GDPR apply, we rely on what is needed to provide the Website you asked for, our legitimate interest in keeping the Website safe, and your consent where we ask for it.

Cookies

We only use cookies that the Website needs to work:

  • a sign-in cookie that keeps you logged in;
  • a store cookie that remembers your cart for up to 7 days;
  • cookies that remember your settings, such as the site theme.

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

What is public

Your username, rank, profile, the content you publish and your vote totals are visible to anyone. The store also shows recent purchases and top supporters by Minecraft username.

Who we share information with

We do not sell your information. We only share it with:

  • Tebex, to process store purchases;
  • our hosting and email providers, to run the Website and send emails;
  • player-head image services, which your browser contacts with a player's Minecraft UUID to show their head or skin;
  • authorities, when the law requires it.

How long we keep information

We keep your account information until you ask us to delete your account. Sign-in sessions expire on their own. Vote totals from past seasons are kept for the all-time leaderboard.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account. Depending on where you live, you may have other rights under data protection law. We may keep some information after deletion where we need it to meet legal obligations.

Age requirement

Website accounts are for people who are 16 or older. If we learn that someone under 16 has an account, we will delete it.

Security

We store passwords in hashed form and use encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee that your information will never be accessed without permission.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
